Beth A. Buchanan, DVM

                               Dr. Beth Buchanan    logo.jpg

Dr. Buchanan is a native Floridian who has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1984.  She received her undergraduate degree and veterinary degree from The University of Florida (Go Gators!).  She worked as an associate veterinarian in several practices before co-owning a cat hospital in Tampa.  She eventually moved back over to the east coast.  Dr. Buchanan worked here in Brevard county as a relief veterinarian while planning The Cat Doctor.  "Dr. B.", as some call her, owns 14 cats! Seven of the lucky cats live at our clinic.  She loves all animals, but has a special passion for cats! The Cat Doctor opened in March of 2004.  Dr. Buchanan felt that a hospital just for cats would be her dream job.  She thinks that cats are such unique creatures, which makes them interesting to work with.  Needless to say, her dream job has become a reality!

                   Shannon Finn,veterinary technician

Shannon has been working at The Cat Doctor since 2006 and has been in the veterinary field for 7 years. Cats are her first love so she has been a perfect fit here. She has become Dr. Buchanan's right hand "man" since she knows most of the clients and cats by name. Shannon and her boyfriend own 6 cats, two of which are former clinic cats here, and two dogs.

          Mary Adams,certified veterinary technician

Mary graduated from the BCC veterinary technology program in Dec. 2008. She worked at another animal hospital until March 2010 when she joined us. She has been a great addition to the staff using her technical and nursing skills. Mary has 3 kitties and a boyfriend. Her interests are playing pool and going to the beach whenever she has free time.

                       Ginelly Watson,receptionist

Ginelly started working here in the summer of 2009 after working at another animal hospital and at Sea World as a dolphin caretaker. She has a psychology degree from UCF. Ginelly and her husband own a dog named Lucy. Unfortunately, they can't have cats because her husband is very allergic to them so she gets her cat fix while she is at work.

        Cathleen Stirling,certified veterinary technician

Cathleen has been with us since Dec. 2009. She is a 2008 graduate of the BCC vet. tech. program. She is a part-time employee so you may not always see her when you visit us. Cathleen and her husband own 2 male cats and a female yorkie. She is a true cat nut!
