We found Guinness sitting in our parking lot one day in 2016. He was a young tom cat but extremely friendly and came right up to us. Unfortunately, he had acquired FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) from a fight with an infected cat while he was out and about. Fortunately, many cats with FIV can live many wonderful, healthy years. The virus is only spread from mother cats to their kittens and more frequently by bites from an infected cat. So Guinness is not putting any other cats at risk since FIV is not an airborne virus. He likes to sit in one of the lobby chairs and act as the official Cat Doctor greeter!
